Protect the stock, keep customers

Shoplifting, refund fraud, abuse at the till and stock leaving by the back door. Our retail officers work the shop floor and the stockroom, so your staff can get on with serving.

Loss rarely happens in one place.

Some goes out the front in a bag. Some goes out the back on a pallet. A good plan covers both, and looks after the staff who deal with angry customers.

Where we fit

Where Ignis Shield fits in retail.

Four parts of retail security we're asked about again and again.

  • Loss prevention on the floor

Officers who know what a distraction theft looks like, stand where it matters and step in calmly.

    Retail security
  • Cameras and evidence

CCTV over tills, entrances and high-value lines, with footage saved in a form the police can use.

    CCTV surveillance
  • Stockrooms and deliveries

Controlled doors and checks at the loading bay, which is where staff theft usually shows up.

    Access control
  • After closing

Alarms linked to a response team, plus keyholding, so a break-in at night doesn't wait for the manager to wake up.

How it works

From store visit to shop floor.

  1. 01

    Store visit

We look at your layout, blind spots, till points, stockroom and the lines that go missing most.

  2. 02

    Plan

Officer hours set around your trading pattern, with extra cover for peak and seasonal weeks.

  3. 03

    On the floor

Officers follow your store policy on stops, refunds and banned customers, and back up your team when it gets tense.

  4. 04

    Report

Incident logs and evidence handed over, so you can spot patterns and act on them.

FAQ

Questions retailers ask us.

Can your officers detain shoplifters?

Officers act within the law and your store policy. Detaining someone is a last resort. Most of the job is putting thieves off before they try.

Do you cover single shops as well as chains?

Yes. We plan for one store or several, with the same approach and the same reports across all of them.

Can you add cover for Christmas and the sales?

Yes. Tell us your peak dates early and we'll add officers for those weeks without changing your regular team.

Can you help with staff theft?

We tighten stockroom and delivery controls and log anything unusual. Any investigation stays with you, and we hand over the records.

Are your retail officers licensed?

Officers in roles that need an SIA licence hold one, and we check it before they start on your site.
