ServicesCCTV surveillance

Cameras placed where they count

Most CCTV is watched after the event, if the angle was right and the recorder was running. We place cameras over your entrances, tills, yards and blind spots, set alerts that do not cry wolf, and can have them watched live during the hours that matter, with an officer ready to follow up.

Camera positions are set by what needs covering and what the light does after dark. We walk the site, look at doors, tills, yards and blind spots, and place cameras where they will catch a face or a number plate.

Positions that count

Entrances, pinch points and the places people try first.

Light checked

Low-light and night coverage planned for each spot.

Recording set up

Cabling, recorder and storage sized for your site.

Alerts worth reading.

Movement in an area that should be empty raises an alert. A cat in the yard or trees in the wind should not, so we set zones and sensitivity for your site and tune them after a few nights.

Zones

Alerts only where movement matters.

Tuned

Sensitivity adjusted once we see what triggers them.

Perimeter and restricted areas

Fence lines and stores watched closely.

Watched while it is happening.

Where the risk justifies it, cameras are watched live during agreed hours, so an intrusion is spotted while it is still going on. An officer, a K9 unit or the police can then be sent.

Live monitoring

During the hours you choose.

Escalation

To officers on site, a response unit or the emergency services.

Logged

Every alert noted with a time and outcome.

Footage you can actually use.

Recordings are stored securely, kept for a set period and easy to find when an insurer, the police or an HR process needs them. CCTV carries data protection duties, and we set the system up so you can meet them.

Set retention

Footage kept as long as you need it, then overwritten.

Evidence packs

Clips exported with times and camera details.

Data protection

Signage and access set up with UK GDPR in mind.

Kept recording, checked often.

The worst time to find a camera has been offline for a month is the day after an incident. We check, clean and test cameras, confirm the recorder is working and add cameras as your site grows.

Scheduled visits

Lenses cleaned and views checked.

Recording verified

Storage and playback tested.

Expanded as needed

New cameras when the site changes.

Built for the ways CCTV lets people down.

Cameras pointed at the wrong spot, alerts nobody reads, a recorder that stopped weeks ago and footage nobody can find.

Cameras that miss the doorway

Positions are set by survey, at the spots that matter.

Alerts every time a fox walks by

Zones and sensitivity tuned to your site.

How it works

From a camera survey to live cover.

  1. 01

    Site survey

We walk the site by day and look at it after dark, noting entrances, blind spots and lighting.

  2. 02

    Security plan

Camera positions, recording, retention, alert zones and monitoring hours, agreed in writing.

  3. 03

    Deployment

Cameras fitted and tested, remote viewing set up and monitoring started.

  4. 04

    Reporting

Alert logs, incident notes and service reports, so you know the system is working.

Record or respond

Monitored cameras, or recording alone.

Recording tells you what happened. Monitoring with someone ready to respond gives you a chance to stop it.

Detection

As it happens

Live monitoring spots an intrusion while it is going on.

Response

Someone sent

An officer or response unit follows up an alert. Recording alone waits for morning.

Alerts

Tuned

Zones set for your site, so alerts are worth reading.

Evidence

Usable

Footage kept, found and exported in a form an insurer can use.

Upkeep

Checked

Cameras and recorder tested on a schedule, not after an incident.

The rules

Data handled properly

CCTV that captures people is covered by UK data protection law. We set yours up with that in mind.

FAQ

Questions people ask about CCTV.

Do you install as well as monitor?

Yes. We can survey, fit and maintain the system, and watch it live if you want that too. Or we can monitor and service a system you already have.

Can I view the cameras on my phone?

Yes. Remote viewing works on a phone, tablet or computer, with several sites under one login.

How long is footage kept?

For a period you decide, long enough to be useful and no longer than you need. Data protection rules say footage should not be kept indefinitely.

Do we need CCTV signs?

Yes. People should be told CCTV is in use. We help you put clear signs in the right places.

What happens when monitoring spots someone?

The operator checks the camera, then sends an officer, a response unit or the police, depending on what is agreed in your plan.

Can you work with our existing cameras?

Often, yes. We will look at what you have and tell you plainly what is worth keeping and what needs replacing.
