ServicesAlarm systems & response

An alarm that someone actually answers

Most premises have an alarm. Far fewer have one set up for the building, with a plan for who goes when it sounds at 2am. We fit and configure intruder alarms with linked fire and CO detection, hold your keys if you want us to, and send a trained officer in a marked response vehicle when it activates.

An alarm should fit how the building is used, not come out of a catalogue. We look at doors, windows, rooms and who uses them, then set up contacts, motion detection and zones to match.

Door and window contacts

On the openings that matter.

Motion detection and zones

Areas armed separately, so a late worker does not set the whole lot off.

Panic and duress buttons

Where staff may need to call for help quietly.

Fire and CO on the same system.

Smoke, heat and carbon monoxide detection can feed into the same system, so a fire at night is passed on instead of sounding into an empty building.

Carbon monoxide

Detectors where fuel-burning appliances are fitted.

Escalation

Activations passed to monitoring and on to the right people.

Arm and check it from anywhere.

With app control you can arm, disarm and check the state of your premises without driving over, and get a notification when something changes.

Remote arming

Set and unset from your phone.

Status at a glance

See which zones are armed and which doors are open.

Alerts

Activity notifications to the people you choose.

A trained officer attends, not your staff.

When the alarm goes off, a licensed officer goes, not the manager who lives closest. They check the outside, search inside, secure what they find and tell your keyholder exactly what happened.

Outside first

Doors, windows and fences checked for signs of entry.

Full internal check

With a dog-and-handler team where agreed.

Made secure

Doors closed, alarm reset as agreed, or someone stays until it is safe.

Keys held safely by us.

Holding your keys removes the personal risk of asking staff to attend an unknown situation at night. Keys are stored securely and only used as your instructions say.

Secure key storage

Logged in, logged out and kept under control.

Out-of-hours access

For contractors or emergencies, on your say-so.

Lock and unlock

Opening and locking up at set times if you need it.

Kept working after it is fitted.

An alarm that has been quietly faulty for months is worse than none, because you have been relying on it. We service systems, fix faults and change the set-up as your premises change.

Scheduled servicing

Sensors, batteries and panel checked.

Faults repaired

Problems traced and put right.

Reconfigured

Zones and users updated when the building changes.

Built for the problems a night-time alarm brings.

A manager driving out alone, an alarm nobody trusts any more, a door left open until morning and no clear account afterwards.

Staff sent out alone at night

A trained officer attends instead, so your people stay safe at home.

False alarms nobody trusts

Systems set up and serviced so activations mean something.

Premises left open till morning

The officer secures what they can, or stays until it is safe.

Every call-out is written up the same night.

How it works

From a survey to a written call-out report.

  1. 01

    Site survey

We visit, look at entry points, rooms and how the building is used, and agree access for call-outs.

  2. 02

    Security plan

System design, keyholding arrangements and who we call, in what order, in writing.

  3. 03

    Deployment

The system is fitted and tested, and response cover starts, often at short notice.

  4. 04

    Reporting

A report after every call-out, with times, findings and every contact made.

Bells or response

A responded alarm, or a bell alone.

A bell makes noise. A responded alarm puts a trained person at your door, with a plan for what happens next.

Attendance

Someone goes

A licensed officer attends. A bells-only alarm relies on a neighbour noticing.

Safety

Not your staff

Your keyholders are not sent alone into a dark building.

Search

Inside and out

The premises is checked properly, with a dog team where agreed.

Securing

Made safe

Damage made safe and the alarm reset, or an officer stays.

Records

Same night

A written report you can pass to your insurer.

The rules

Licensed

Contracted keyholding and alarm response officers need an SIA licence.

FAQ

Questions people ask about alarms and response.

Can you fit the alarm and respond to it?

Yes. We can design and fit the system and provide the response, so one team answers for both. We can also respond to a system you already have.

Do you hold keys?

Yes, if you want us to. How keys are stored, used and returned is agreed in writing.

What does the officer do on arrival?

They check the outside for signs of entry, search inside, secure anything open or damaged, and contact your keyholder and, where needed, the police.

What about false alarms?

Most come from a system that is poorly set up or not serviced. We configure zones and sensors for the building and keep them maintained, so activations mean something.

Do you work with homes as well as businesses?

Yes. From a single house to a commercial site with several zones and users.

What will we receive after a call-out?

A written report: when the alarm came in, when we arrived, what we checked, what we found and who we told.
